NEW BLOG! http://li-su.blogspot.com.au/

Hi Readers!

Note: Picture from http://seattlefgi.blogspot.com.au
I have now permanently moved to a new blog. If you would like to delete this blog feel free to do so! The reason for my move is based on the fact that I am not Japanese and felt the name Miwari Chika was a poor reflection of who I am. I felt like a liar posing as Miwari some cute wannabe Japanese girl...

However that is now all behind me. I will definitely be blogging much more frequently after my last uni exam next Monday the 12/11/12 so stay tuned for blogging spammage!

The NEW BLOG will have many photos and reviews. I'm planning to blog once every 2 days (planning please don't kill me if I don't) during the holidays so please stay tuned. Lots of OOTD, HAULS, Clothing reviews, make up product and gaming reviews. So stay tuned!

Before I leave this blog I would like to say thank you to all the readers who have followed me and commented along the way. Three special shout outs to Sally, Jun Jun and Miss Sennnaa for commenting or helping out. Your comments always brighten up my day. Thank you for your kindness.

Take care,

Li Su

Review: Gundam MODEL SDX Ryusou Ryubi

Image taken from HobbyCo
A less conventional blog than normal today. If it's not your thing... Yeah I understand everyone is different blah blah BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? You should still read it. Cause I wasn't interested in model making. It looks tedious and time consuming and I always imaged those guys with really bad acne and thick frames and oily hair making the models. Okay not to that extreme but it's not something girls would usually do or stereotypically do. Well I'm here to throw away these conceptions, be who I want to be, find my inner self and DELVE INTO THE POOL OF SOCIAL FEMININE STEREOTYPING DESTRUCTION!

Ok I'm blabbering a bit  =[ I just had 3 exams in 6 days. Let me be a bit abnormal. Very sleep deprived now. But the blogging must go on!

So I made my SDX Ryusou Ryubi Gundam **DNO** model at home which a friend got for me from the Smash Convention earlier this year. The tickets are reasonably priced for a typical anime, manga convention $29 online and $35 at the door. Although I vaguely remember there being some early bird discount. Please do not quote me on this as I am not 100% sure. And technically my friend wasn't even allowed to take the models out of the HobbyCo Gundam Workshop but he sweet talked his ass off to get one. Yayers! Well actually he didn't get it for me he got it for another friend but someone I ended up getting it...

If you ever want to do the Gundam workshop for yourself you can at the Smash event. For terms and details please click this link. As SMASH is a once in a year event I do understand that not all of you will be able to make it and might still want to make these models. Well fear not. You can still buy them and make them yourselves if you have a nearby Hobbyco. If you want to buy the SDX Ryusou Ryubi Gundam **DNO** I've already made you can find it at Hobbyco for $30.49 which I think is a bit overpriced for the size, however the material is very high quality and they're all imported from Japan. So I guess they have to make money somehow.

Okay onto the model making. It's hard to explain how fun model making is as they have all these small pieces and you kind of feel like Frankenstein with all the pieces you're merging together to make a human like object. It's a very personal experience and you get a lot of satisfaction fitting all the pieces together. It's like you’re having a good scratch or finally finding the lid to that pen you never had a lid for.

To start off with your given breakable pieces to put together and and instructions pamphlet in Japanese which is always good to have.
These are the sticker decorations you can put on along the way.

Instructions in Japanese which really aren't helpful at all. Put the pictures pretty much say everything.

My half complete model.
My model with no armour. This could be the equivalent of Mecha wearing no armour.

This is the fully complete version with all the stickers and armour and uber cool mini swords.
The model  is actually extremely small.

Close up

It's amazing how much detail goes into these little things!

Here's a picture of the Gundam model I made this year with a Model from SMASH from last year!

All in all if you're ever at any free Model making workshop please check it out as you just might explore a part of your inner childhood and creativity that you didn't even know you have. Price wise they can be expensive and I'd probably buy clothes instead of buying a $30 model as I can wear it out endlessly but the model just sits at home. But they are very fun to make and if it's of interest to you then definitely worth the money.

Miwari.

Review: Kose SOFTYMO Deep Cleansing Oil

おさしぶり

In my recent SaSa haul I mentioned this product bought from the site www.sasa.com. If you want a direct link to the product please click THIS. By no means am I sponsored to do this post... I wish T.T thus anything I do say is my own opinion.

Now time to get down and clean with this product.

"Kose softymo Deep Cleansing Oil blends orange oil and Oryza Sativa (rice) bran oil to dissolve makeup and remove impurities in pores. Cuticle-clear ingredient helps remove dead cuticles, leaving skin purified and refreshed"

Price: I bought this on sale for $11.30 however SaSa usually sells it for $13.30. Either price is reasonable as the size and quality more than compensates for the price.

Size: 230ML. The product has a generous amount of liquid. I'm sure this will last me more than a year.

Formula: As it is an oil remover it does feel exactly like that on your face. Personally not the most pleasant texture to remove makeup with. But the oily feeling is only temporary. Don't forget to rinse your face afterwards!

Effect: This is the BEST makeup remover I have used up until now. In comparison to some of the others like Cyber Colors Eye makeup remover, Garnier makeup remover sheets, Johnsons and Johnsons makeup remover sheet and a few others.

I always like to apply my makeup literally between my eyelashes. Not above or below the eyelashes. But where my eyelashes are. I know this is probably very bad for my eyes but the effect is very natural. Sometimes you just have to make sacrifices. For a long time I've had a lot of difficulty removing the makeup between my eyelashes especially my water proof makeup. But with Kose deep cleansing oil it's only taken a pump and POOF everything is gone. None of that hard rubbing and endless product usage. All I do is take a pump on my palms rub on my face and remove excess with make-up removal puff.

Packaging: Pump nozzle. Supper convenient to moderate the amount you need and very hygienic.

Suitability: For all skin types. I have combination skin which is always hard to deal with. Especially when you have one part of your skin demanding more hydration and another part producing extra oil. My Skin does not break out from this nor does it get dry.

How to apply:
Full face make up at the end of the night.

Step 1. Apply to dry face and fingers and massage gently over the face.
(Here half face is removed)
Step 2. After it is emulsified, rinse of thoroughly.
Final result, not a speck of makeup!
Overall: Would definitely buy again. I'm always one for trying new products but when I do find something I like that does the job perfectly I tend to stick to it.

Story time!

I've used this remover for about a month before I wrote this review and every night I'd go to sleep with this thick layer of oil on my face and wake up with it still there. Sure the makeup was removed but my face felt like I was swimming in thick gooey oil. At this point I was really indecisive with the quality of the product. Even if it does remove all my makeup I'm not that keen on a product which takes me back to puberty and beyond every night. Flash forward to me writing this review and I go to the sasa page info for the product description and underneath the how to apply guide it says 'After it is emulsified, rinse of thoroughly'... I'm gobsmacked. This whole time I've just left the oil residual on D:  Let this all be a lesson to read instructions carefully before applying anything to your face!

Signing of with a picture of how my makeup looked before it got all oily later on in the night.

Take care my readers and stay happy ♥ ❤ ❥ ❣

MINI SASA HAUL: Kose SOFTYMO Deep Cleansing Oil, Clinique MOISTURE SURGE Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief, C+M SPF 30PA+++ Baby Mild Sun Screen Milk

Now that you've skipped reading the long title it's time I talked about my mini SaSa haul.

So recently SaSa had a promotion where they gave free shipping on orders over $19 USD. They usually always have a 'spend $29 USD or more to enjoy free shipping' but when I ordered on the 24th of July it was $19. Now that was something sweet.

The shipping time was fairly short. Since it was such a long time ago... I'd take a rough estimate around 2-3 weeks. Since I'm always ordering stuff online I start losing track of what I've bought where. I just get ecstatic when I see another parcel at my door.

Packaging was so over the top. I had these three fairly small products and they put it in this humongous box with all these puff balls. Slightly unnecessary to pack it in such a big box but I really appreciate they effort they go into.

They even personally bubble wrap the products inside the big box with all the puff balls. Could they get more careful or what? You really can't complain if your product is damaged since it's evident SaSa has tried beyond the requirements of man kind! Plus the free bubble wrap is awesome for Friday nights home alone.

Onto the products I bought. For my first item I got Kose SOFTYMO Deep Cleansing Oil. At the time they had a 15% promotion which meant I got the product for $11.30 instead of $13.30. Bargain! I'll do a review on the product later but I can tell you that this product removes your waterproof, sweatproof anything proof makeup like no tomorrow.

REVIEW OF KOSE SOFTYMO DEEP CLEANSING OIL (updated)

On an alternative note Kose has also released a more gentle cleansing oil called SOFTYMO White Cleansing Oil which sasa.com sells for $10.40. I laughed a bit too long when I read the description for the product "Kose
Softymo White Cleansing Oil can remove make up and dirt effectively. It removes excess horny layer with melanin and makes your skin transparent and soft. ". LOOOL "HORNY" together the KOSE cleaning oil's go deep and horny. Immaturity level over 9000 right now...

For my second product I bought Clinique Moisture Surge 'Face Spray Thirsty Relief' 30ml for $5.20. I am biased to branded products like 'Clinique', 'Lancome' etc but renowned brands are popular for a reason. They do the job and it's much less riskier to buy a product everyone favours. I am yet to use this product but it does have a slight PV glue smell when I take the lid off and smell it...

And my last product is C+MSPF 30PA+++ Baby Mild Sun Screen Milk 35mls which I got for $2.60 during a SaSa sale at the time. The product is heaps cute and compact and perfect for the upcoming warmer seasons. I've done a hand swatch and the texture is amazing. Smooth and silky like normal moisturising cream not like normal sunscreen at all. A must have product!

All together these three items cost $19.10. Yay for grabbing bargains and getting free shipping. Loving SaSa.com

Birthday Time: Sennnaa Rinnnaa

Every year on a particular date a certain someone will be a year older!! Unless you are born on February then ehh you'll only age every 4 years.

On this particular special day it was my close friend Sennnaa's 20th birthday.

Her birthday is 3rd of August but we did the celebrating on the 2nd as the 3rd was exclusive for boyfriend.

Preparation:
1. THE PRESENT - A combined gift set with Crystal and Max.

I personally prepared an assorted mask pack (dodgy picture taken from phone)

Crystal got the glamorous CHANEL nail polish.

And Max was forced to complete the set with  10 assorted macaroons cause it's something you really can't go wrong with.... and Sennnaa loves it!

Plus we threw in a card. Now who wouldn't want such an awesome combined gift??

2. THE GLAMORISATION
Before going to any birthday party one must always look proper and well dressed :D. I used my Garnier BB Cream (which I will do a review on soon), urban decay liquid eye-liner, SASA white eye-liner, CHANEL mascara, Shiseido P7 lip stick on my cheeks and lips.

As you can see on the right picture I have my fat blonde patch when I start my part from the left.

The Venue: Partying hard at Seoul Ria!

Photo Taken from Seol Ria website
And by party I just mean eating lots. But it sounds more exciting if I say we're partying... My personal dish was Ox Tongue which was fairly nice but a bit too salty and the texture was a bit too chewey. Not the best Ox Tongue.

Some photos from the night

Can you see me in the back?

And just the girls ~ ~

LOL TOILET PAPER ON BIRTHDAY GIRLS FOOT

AND TO finish off I'll upload the pic's MISS SENNA took with my camera.

Sennnaa and MAX

Sennnaa in all her glory
As always stay happy and if you're not already happy. Become happy.

Review: Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde L1++

Hello hello READERS!

Oh wow it's been 23 days since I last posted. I'm so sorry. It's been so long and I'm always thinking of blogging yet I never really get around to doing it. So much respect for part-time bloggers and full time bloggers or just about any bloggers in general who really put all there effort in.

On to the topic of the day....So I dyed my hair to .... wait for it.... ORANGE! Yes, this is a review for Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde dye but it didn't turn out the way I planned.

I forgot to take some pictures beforehand so I just used a picture from the photo shoot I did last time.

No filter was used to keep the colour of my hair authentic. As you can see my regrowth was showing from my last dark brown dye.

General Information:

Price: The product is fairly reasonable priced for a dye $18.99 I think?? Although I got it on sale for $14.99 so a few dollars saved :D

Mixture: The product had three parts which you have to mix. One is application bottle with developer lotion and the last part is blonde booster. As I wasn't going for peroxide blonde I didn't put all the contents of the  blonde booster sachet into the mixture.

Texture: I am under the impression that the mixture wasn't mixed properly as I saw small white lumps of ball in my hair and the mixture dried exceptionally fast. It looked almost like large flakes of clumpy dandruff.

Sensitivity of dye: My head did sting slightly every now and then however it was no where near as unbearable as my friends have described there blonde/bleaching experience.

Colour: I was fairly disappointed with the colour. I was aiming for a light colour close to blonde but not  almost. Yet I was left with this orangy/brown patchy colour.

Problems: There were two problems which could have caused the incorrect colour, 1: not mixing the mixture thoroughly and 2: only buying one packet of dye. As my hair is fairly long, between waist and shoulders, my friend ran out of dye pretty quickly and we had to like just spread the already dyed parts onto the non dyed parts T.T

After effect: My hair is now extremely dry. I've  applied a generous amount of the conditioning serum the dye comes with to keep it hydrated but it doesn't seem to work very well. My hair now feels like straw =[

My hair might look like its a flowing waterfall but I'm using all these intense nourishing conditioners to keep it in tact. From the picture you can also see how blonde my hair is around my forehead but near my ends it's pretty much dark brown.

Overall: I have read plentiful of reviews on this product getting mostly 4/5 and 5/5 however I'd personally give it a 1.5/5 from this fateful experience. Not only was I left orange but the dye did not spread well and I was left with a Cheetah patches in my hair and my hair is like straw.

This is the most recent picture of me. As you can see my hair is fairly dry and I'm getting horrible regrowth.

I hope this review was informative! Stay happy and don't let a bad hair cut or hair dye throw you down.
